Sustainability

NAUA's Reusable Makeup Removers Discs emerge as a way to replace the "use and thry out" with "use, wash and use again". But, in addition to the search for alternatives to disposables, it is also important to know the environmental impact of the products that are part of our care routine.

Can you imagine the amount of discs and cotton wasted per year when you use disposable discs?

One disc for tonic, plus three or four to remove makeup - if we multiply by 365 days, it means that we dispose of almost two thousand cotton discs in the trash in a single year.

Knowing that 1kg of cotton needs more than twenty thousand liters of water to be produced, we can get the idea of the effect that our routine can have on this precious resource.

How are reusable makeup remover discs washed?

Wash by hand or in the washing machine at 30º. It is recommended to use softener, so that they remain soft. To remove difficult stains, and keep them white, you can use a bleach, such as sodium percarbonate.

Tip: immediately after use, pass the Discs through water and rub them lightly, to remove most of the makeup and prevent it from drying out and becoming more difficult to remove when you do the complete wash.
